PlayHousie is the game that you will remember playing with your Grand Parents and also later in life you will be able to share this experience and enjoyment with your Grand Children. This is an ideal family game for Grand parents, Parents and Children. It is highly recommended as entertainment in Hospitals, nursing homes, retirement villages, camp sites and any small groups. A normal session of say 15 games would take approximately 1 hour. PlayHousie is great for children's birthday parties with small inexpensive prizes for the winners. Children love this game because it levels the playing field with equal opportunity to win for young and old.
It is recommended that the calling speed be set to 1 if novices, young children, older citizens or players are playing multiple cards. You can dynamically alter the speed of the numbers being called by simply depressing 1 thru 5 at any time. The default speed is set to 3.
PlayHousie is also considered a great teaching aid for younger children in number recognition, hand, sight & sound co-ordination and reaction, it is recommended that "housie slang" be turned off initially until the calling of numbers is easily understood - the T key toggles this option and can be depressed at any time.
When you purchase PlayHousie you get to play up to 150 Housie cards, each card has 15 numbers between 1 and 90, arranged into 3 lines of 5 numbers, in each set of 6 cards (1-6, 7-12, 13-18…… 145-150) all numbers between 1-90 are used and each card is guaranteed to have a minimum of 10 unique numbers from any other. For Home play you would normally select a block of say 30 cards . You select the cards that are in play for this session, only those cards selected will be in play.
You can at any time choose to print the cards however it is recommended that you do this once and have them laminated to reduce fading or damage of any kind. If these cards need to be replaced you simply use PlayHousie to print out a new set.
PlayHousie will randomly select and call the numbers between 1 and 90. If you have the number called on a card that you are playing that number is normally covered by either a small coin, plastic dib, washer or button. If the cards are laminated you may simply use an easily erasable marker pen.
Wait until the excitement and adrenalin starts when you are getting close and waiting for that last number on your card to be a winner. You are allowed to shout out “House”, jump to your feet shouting “Yes”, do a little victory dance, in fact when your last number is called anything goes – you are a winner.
PlayHousie is easy to operate, you select what the game is, either a line or a full house. If line is chosen, the user has the option to continue (C) on for a full house following successful line/s or start a new game, L for a line or H for a full house. PlayHousie will announce the type of game, either line or full house, then select and call the random numbers at the speed selected by the user. Because you have selected the cards in play for this session, PlayHousie will stop automatically, display the winning card/s on the computer screen, call back the winning numbers for either the line/s or house/s, then announce the winning card number and the number of calls that have been made. There are two options to start a new game. Enter either L for a line or H for a full house. PlayHousie can be interrupted at any time by simply depressing the <space> bar, to resume play you simply depress continue (C).
It is important that the selection of cards in play for any session is correct to ensure that PlayHousie plays only those cards selected.
It is important to note that all numbers are randomly selected and therefore is purely a game of chance. PlayHousie can be paused at any time and continued on demand.
PlayHousie lasts a lifetime, it doesn’t matter if you are six or ninety six you will still enjoy the thrill of winning, the game never breaks, it is random so always gives different results, you can play different cards (within the 150 provided).
